Jan Tapak - The Tree

(Welded Bronze, 79 x 64 x 54 cm)

"The tree as a symbol of life accompanies us during our whole life path.

One of the first was a tree in the biblical story of Adam and Eve and the apple.

The tree sculpture is reflecting memories of my childhood. Each of us - all around the world, without exception of nationality or country - had a tree as a view-tower, abditorium or mysterious settlement.

Each of us has his "own" tree with his roots in the place of his birthplace. And when we wander around the world, we finally always come back to our tree."
